wink hound 0
£1000 is utter nonsense, take them else where, or do it yourselves. most "backyard" poisoning are fairly easy to spot, you dont need the name of the posion or seriel code, just how it was admistered will do the trick........ its best to find out now. Guest SJM
£1000 does seem very steep If I was him I would be thinking about finding a new vet. Quote Link to post
Cold Ethyl 63
I feel for your mate my neighbour poisoned my lurcher pup ages ago and lucky enough someone else recognised the early symptoms and hes ok.I cannot understand why anyone would do this to a dog for any reason makes you wonder.I hope like me you find out who done it and leave them within an inch of their life.Mine never cvame near my dog again after i sorted it out i was livid. All because my cat leathered her cat.So she very nearly killed my dog over a cat fight.Poor dogs RIP little mutts Quote Link to post
Cold Ethyl 63
Change vets it cost me £200 and pennies for the tests and cahrcoal and other guff to help the dog get over it and £95 for a vets report for the police cos stupid moo bragged to a neighbour about how the stupid wee b*****d gobbled down the chicken no bother. Also the police sometimes do it for fee if its part of an investigation.Usually from my own experience pale white gums and slabbering like hell and dribbling from the nose are pretty conclusive symptoms Quote Link to post

RIP OFF and you'd think they would want to help the guy!!! if they opened the dogs up they could of seen what they had eaten at least. Really sorry he lost his dogs like this. Quote Link to post

RIP OFF and you'd think they would want to help the guy!!! if they opened the dogs up they could of seen what they had eaten at least. Really sorry he lost his dogs like this. a decision about whether hes having it checked by a vet or not is gonna have to be made soon because unless they are in a cooler they are gonna start humming, i think that if he gets in touch with someone ie the papers or tv and tells them that he found them dead without mentioning poisoning the local people with there fluffy pooches may think that its a deadly virus which could affect their dogs and maybe they will do something about it. whats to say this isnt the case why has it got to be poison? unless he has got enemys. bullx 12
Listen lad,f**k that vet he went to,what he should do is go to a vetinary college, they will do it for nothing, tell them how he found them and you want to find out how they died just in case there is something around the garden and the kids come in contact with it,the vetinary college is the place they train young vets, but dont tell them you have visited a vet, tell them you couldnt afford a private vet,and let them find out how they died, hope you find out what it was and if so the b*****d responsible for killing them. Cold Ethyl 63
Healthy dogs dont just drop down dead that quick with no symptoms. Its sickening as someone else said that there are gutless w*****s out there who take it out on the dogs having been in the position i nearly killed the clown that done it to my male dog he was only a pup at the time i think he was around 7 or 8 months old at the time and his only saving grace was he had still eaten and drank otherwise vet said hed be beyond saving.Lucky enough 5 days of activated charcoal and some other stuff for his gut he was fine and recovered fully took me weeks to get his confidence up again after that i was lucky i still have my dog.Have some compassion these dogs are dead cos some dirty scum of the earth codpeice b*****d cant be a man/women and deal with it face to face.Probably some dirty anti with an axe to grind.Mate i feel for you and sorry to hear about your dogs Quote Link to post
odonnell 0
Got a phone call from a distraught friend (scottie on here) this morning he has gone out to get his dogs from their kennel. They didn't come to greet him, worried he opened their bedding areas, every single one dead.....They were in the house until midnight so someone between then and about 9 ish this morning has gone in and given them something or done something to them. Neighbours all very friendly, no complaints, dogs dont make a racket in their kennels. The lad is struggling to understand who would do such a thing. 3 LURCHERS ALL OF WHICH HE HAS HAD FROM A PUP, THE YOUNGEST WAS 10 MONTH THE OLDEST WAS ABOUT 5. 1 TERRIER WHO HE HAD FROM A PUP WHO WAS ABOUT 8/9. He thinks they were poisoned but still he's not 100% sure. Scott is a decent lad who lives for his kids and his dogs, lurcherman through and through. His 4 young children and wife are distraught. ANY INFORMATION WILL BE DEALT WITH IN CONFIDENCE AND POLICE WILL NOT BE INVIOLVED....ANYONE WHO KNOWS ANYTHING PLEASE PLEASE PM ME OR SCOTTIE.THE LAD LIVES IN LICHFIELD, ANYONE IN THAT AREA OFFER ANY INFO???? sounds like some sick animal rights extremist . f**king sick b*stards Quote Link to post
