thanks all , good luck with your one rob, hope all goes well for ya, next pic i put up it should be finished and i havent a buyer for it yet so anyone interested please pm me . next stock i make will be from the tulip , should be interesting

my stock arrived yesterday as nigel said it would hes done a grate job of it but you need to have it in front of you to realy appreciate the quality and work hes put in to it.ive got a bsa ultra im sening him down to get a stock made for that when hes got a bit more free time. thanks again nigel talk to you soon

Hi Midge, i'm new here you might gather and really love those stocks your making and have been hovering over making one myself to fit the AA S400 but the big question is what specialist equipment do you use to make such quality stocks or are you a natural with the band saw, chisel and sand paper ? :)

I used a dremmel, router, bandsaw, sandpaper and chisels, files as basics you will need a power drill and the usual set sqares and other measuring equiptment. This list is what i used for mine but it is a springer so more internal shaping was required.

as airgunner said you can get away with using basic tools for stocks . besy thing ta do is have a practise with a cheap piece of wood first before ya commit yaself to buying a nice piece of walnut or other expensive wood , done the final tweaking to the maple stock and is now in first coat of oil, looks awsome
