M@gpie 0
Hi Midge, i'm new here you might gather and really love those stocks your making and have been hovering over making one myself to fit the AA S400 but the big question is what specialist equipment do you use to make such quality stocks or are you a natural with the band saw, chisel and sand paper ? Edited April 18, 2009 by M@gpie Quote Link to post
Guest air gunner
I used a dremmel, router, bandsaw, sandpaper and chisels, files as basics you will need a power drill and the usual set sqares and other measuring equiptment. This list is what i used for mine but it is a springer so more internal shaping was required. Quote Link to post
WhiteWolf 0
That is so sweet, totally awesome WW Quote Link to post
midge28 6
as airgunner said you can get away with using basic tools for stocks . besy thing ta do is have a practise with a cheap piece of wood first before ya commit yaself to buying a nice piece of walnut or other expensive wood , done the final tweaking to the maple stock and is now in first coat of oil, looks awsome Quote Link to post
M@gpie 0
I might just give it a go one day and see what can be achieved with a cheap piece of wood on first attempt Quote Link to post
