silverfoxsid08 27
finished my artifical earth today so i thort i would take a few pics of how it looks, dug all by hand and built with stone done most of it on my own with a little bit of help from miller1989 off this site, its got 2 entrances and 2 kitchens just kept the same idea as most of the hunts round here which i know intimately . built it pretty close to a stream so could be a good spot for cubbing in. just gona leave it alone now and let it weather but dogs been running it no probs. feel like ive given something back to nature lol. any one else been building any? what you lads think? well done mate good job done . I like to put one in naw and then Quote Link to post

digger63 3
its good to see someone thinking about their sport and trying to put something back in,to many people are just good at ruining earths, well done . Stone or brick sides with a dirt floor allways hold better than pipes[probably warmer] but they should be built fairly tight so your terrier can just get through comfertably. Around my area there's quite a few such drains and the tight ones allways hold more fox. Using slabs or flat rocks for the lid is better than pipe, because they are easily repaired after a dig,a well constructed earth thats repaired will last a very long time, and provide loads of sport if you look after it.
