joe woodward 0 Posted April 7, 2009 Report Share Posted April 7, 2009 iv got a fox trap set in my granmars garden where she has a big problem with foxes digging under her fence its been there a week now and the fox is setting the trap of by getting his paw thro the mess holes so iv put some finer mess on it but hes setting it off now and i dont no how hes doing it its a drop door trap and there is no way it can get out and it isnt the wind because iv moved the trap about the garden and it hasnt gone off any help? Sterry 0 Posted April 7, 2009 Report Share Posted April 7, 2009 if it were a cat surely the cat would still be in the trap. i think the answer is more than likely wind or the fox nudging the trap. presuming it the type that has a rod that is attached to the floor pad and through an eye in the top. Just try the snares mate, make the noose big enough for a cat to pass through, they will pass through big snare nooses no probs Quote Link to post
osimons89 0 Posted April 7, 2009 Report Share Posted April 7, 2009 dont no how your trap works mate but if you can try to set it so its not as easy to set of a well placed bit of blue tack leave it jamed open for a few days till the bait is bein taken every night the zip tie the bate to the trigger.
