There is a bit of sinew build up behind the plate after a session but not enough to stop it working. Yes mince is frozen first before feeding to dogs,we find that helps reduce the chance of worms.

I feed raw ,just gutted and skinned ,give the carcasses 3 weeks in the freezer ,but a mincer means you can maximise the space and bag it into handy portions ,wish I had one.Ive 3 freezers and what with bunnies ,bones and "sundries" they are perpetually full.

How do you prepare the rabbits before running them through the mincer? Do you take out the guts and then put bones, skin and all through? When you feed it do you mix anything else with it? Looks good healhty grub that.

Gut and skin them, put the rest through. Don't mix anything with it,just get mince on its own.Cheers.

grab them tails and just pull them off, and cut the feet off with a axe or a meat clever or a tomahawk ( spell check that) just alot easyer, it's just pointless furr :)

nice tho, i do the same with my hare i catch, but with the rabbits i just give it to them as a carcase no guts or furr :) give them somethign to chew on.
