Lee85 44
anyone done it? advice for/against it? tips? I dont'l like the idea of the gun getting wet but surely wont harm it if i dry it when i get home? Quote Link to post
aaronpigeonplucker 32
its al right but make sure you dry it EVERYWHERE. there is nothinbg worse than a rusted up loading port. the bit where the mag goes in can get rusted badly apparently Quote Link to post
RaiderBoy 19
naa i would say no to shooting in the rain because water gets fecking everywere even into the bolt area Quote Link to post

Deker 3,478
With any gun it's a pain in the a**e, but with a 12ft lb air rifle it is likely to effect shot placement as well. Quote Link to post
hiho 5
iv been shooting in the rain today plenty of crows and rabbits to shoot dosnt affect the way my gun shoots Quote Link to post
pointer 543
I shoot in light drizzle and my gun gets a bit wet.i dont dry it properly though which is why its the most rusty gun on THL I wouldnt do it if i cared about my gun though. Quote Link to post

SEAN3513 7
we all get caught out, but not if it can be avoided. ( i.e....don't set out when its already raining) if your gun gets wet, strip it down and dry off with kitchen roll and leave close to a radiator to dry it thoroughly, then apply ( sparingly) a decent quality gun oil and work it in to all nooks and cranny's. re wax your stock, lightly oil the exterior metal work of your gun and then rub over with a dry duster. hope that helps all the best sean Quote Link to post
hiho 5
i just give mine a wipe the only thing iv noticed is the mag ring on my scope has gone purpley colour  any way shooting in a bit of rain means you can stalk closer to your quarry before you have to fink abought taking a shot And you definatly need flip up covers for your scope Edited April 6, 2009 by hiho Quote Link to post
hiho 5
the rain dosent knacker your gun aslong as you wipe it down properly Quote Link to post
shaun sale 0
i tend not to go out in the rain beacause when i come home wet and muddy the misses make me strip down to my mankini at the front door befor she will let me in the house.and the little old laydys hate guns so im shure they wouldent like to see my little white cheecks aswell Quote Link to post
