aaronpigeonplucker 32 Posted April 6, 2009 Report Share Posted April 6, 2009 i have hardly done any decoying and i want to set up 5 decoys in my garden. i am not shotty shooting, i'm just trying to get them to land in my garden so i can take them with an air rifle. i want to know what patern i should set them in, whever the wind makes a difference, put some corn on the ground ect. thanks, Aaron Quote Link to post
shottyscotty 3 Posted April 6, 2009 Report Share Posted April 6, 2009 i have hardly done any decoying and i want to set up 5 decoys in my garden. i am not shotty shooting, i'm just trying to get them to land in my garden so i can take them with an air rifle. i want to know what patern i should set them in, whever the wind makes a difference, put some corn on the ground ect.thanks, Aaron it depends on what your garden is like if i was you i would just put them in a small tight pattern facing all directions and within range of easy killing shots . i also recomend you use flock coated so the birs arnt scared by the shine because the birds will be landing for a while before you shoot unlike with a shotgun were you shoot them as there coming. i dont think you will need corn or barley as the decoys should work unless your not plannning on watching all the time as this might help the birds stay around longer Quote Link to post

SOUNDS GOOD As long as you have lofting poles unless you can clime the tree, witch i cant because i dont like hights and make sure you have a descent backstop Quote Link to post
