good day out...

Recommended Posts

well me and scuzy had a good day down his permission today. we didnt arrive till 1:30 as i had to work till 12 but anway the day started off slow, i saw a pheasant which i chased to see how close i could get but NO WAY was i pulling the trigger as its out of season and a sunday so couldnt get much worse lol.. ohh wel.. we will have him. scuzy shoots airguns so i gave him a go on mine with some clay pigeon cartridges i had left over as they were no good to me and i wanted to keep my hunting cartridges... so after a few shots so he can get used to the noise and recoil we move on. he had the shotgun and i have my s410 we get to a few trees where there are usually squirrels and we spot 2 he blows one away with his first shot. we then spent the next 10 minutes watching the otehr one and tryiing to get a decent shot on him, well i had the shotgun now and as he leaped from the one tree to the other i had him, was well pleased as i am not a very good shot as im still new to shotguns. it landed and i had hit it in its ass so i put the other shot into him to finish him off was well pleased my first kill with the shotgun....

we then had a walk round with the airguns.

i saw 2 rabbits and got within about 30 yard of them and was well pleased as stalking isnt my strong point, just for them to simply run off  waited half hour for them to return but nothing,....

scuzy with all his knowledge managed to bag a rabbit after a 45 yard (no lie we measured it)seriously good shot. so between us we had 2 squirrels and a big rabbit,

pics will be up soon...

cheers
