v-max 2
Great read FD & i know the feeling as i leave beasts to come on. I had a buck i seen & it took 3yrs to get him i personally never tryed him as i wanted my brother or friend to shoot it. Remmy ( our dave ) even tryed for him when he was up & he gave us the slip but my brother got him with a long shot 230m some night & i bet he was 11yrs + but he was an old friend sad to see him go. Lost Generation 93
I would have left him until after the rut and then taken him, but each to their own and unlike me, you know the local situation round your way. That head looks medal class and its always good to give good bucks maximum chance to pass their genes on, even if they are oldish and have been around for a while. Quote Link to post

Squirrel_Basher 17,100
I would have left him until after the rut and then taken him, but each to their own and unlike me, you know the local situation round your way. That head looks medal class and its always good to give good bucks maximum chance to pass their genes on, even if they are oldish and have been around for a while. The reason i shot him now was exactly the reason you would have spared him .As i stated,he has had this head for at least 3 years running and its not one i personally want to propagate. He may look medal class but will never be weighed as theres MUCH better stock about than that ,he was a cull animal in my eyes ,but hey each to their own.
