Hi mate, i've found that most ferrets vary ferret by ferret regardless of type. generally best hunting ones for me have been the little lively and curious ones irrespective of markings Cheers Quote Link to post

Kay 3,709
There all the same Al just different colours i love the albinos so would pick one of them personally Quote Link to post
The one 8,534
I rate them all the same as long as they have made the grade by there second season but ive a prefernce for lighter colours as i can see who's following rabbits out on a big burrow and i dont need to walk over the burrow picking them up . reckon the only colour i dont have is a polecat as i would have bother seeing them in the shadows of a hedge Quote Link to post
Coneytrappr 30
Either will work just as well as the other. I keep poleys and whites, but do prefer a pale ferret for working undergrowth and low visibility areas. They are just easier to keep track of. Quote Link to post
The one 8,534
Think most folk that dont have clear open burrows are heading towards lighter coloured ferret's as with this climate change the cover doesn,t die down and your limited to a few months ferreting in cover Quote Link to post

If I had to pick one colour to stick to it would be the sandie's, purely because they show up on any ground, I have two sandie's and two albino's, and three poleys, so I suppose I like them all really!
