Reloading Kits, Complete?

Recommended Posts

I am considering purchasing a reloading kit for my 6.5x55. Are they as advertised "everything you need to start reloading", or do you need other items as well? If so what are they, what would you recommend purchasing too?

Many thanks, ft.

depends on the kit really..........could do with a case tumbler (cleaner)....micromiter...primer pocket cleaner.....

I bought a Lee Breechlock challenger kit (about £100), the only bits I had to buy on top were a case length guage and lockstud (calibre specific and about £3), a die set (obviously calibre specific and about £30 cos I like to neck size) and components.

The only thing I've added is a kinetic hammer to correct my cock-ups!

Forget the tumbler... Wire wool and cordless drill ;) oh and you`ll need case attachment for drill bit. Probably save you around £60/70..

Been there, done that. Do a hundred cases that way and you'll gladly pay the £40odd that either Midway UK or Smartreloader are asking for a case cleaner.

Harry the guy`s reloading for Deer stalking not fecking about on the Dingle ranges

But lets just say flytie has a fit every other week and Wang's 20 rounds up the field just for the sake of it, you know enjoy the rifle like..

Then the poor mans way with the drill/wire wool still wouldn't be too time consuming take it from me ;)

But by all means buy a case tumbler and media that's has to go with it if you really want a fancy set up :D

Eh Harry still pissed with me about the Bino comment eh :D
