Looking at the ring GB 07 so guess that would be the age??

That sount right, Wish there was more people like you out there as most people who find pigeon Will breed from the bird if they are good blood lines.

Or will neck them for the fun of it.

Some of those birds are worth hundreds of pounds.

Some federations down in england starting racing today so chances are that it's a racer, not a stock bird, does it have one ring or two on it's legs ? if it has only one and an elastic band on the other it's been in a race today more than likely and got lost.

Good on you for taking the time to trace its owner, rather than putting Bread down for it, go to any corner shop and get a Box of Bird Seed or a Box of Lentils etc...... far better for it than Bread. I kept Racers for years as a kid and had some great fun Racing them but got to much with School etc..... My Uncle still Racers now, he is one of the Top fliers in the North East, spends a lot of time and £££££££££££££££££ on his Pigeons.

I had Birmingham Rollers up until last year but started to struggle with time to Fly them etc.... due to working away alot so i gave all my Stock Birds to a Lad who was just starting up.

Thanks guys its not a problem or wont take any time to trace the owner now I hope and it will all be worth it when he/she gets the bird back safe.

The bird has a whole host of food to choose from, wild bird seed, bread etc and fresh water and a warm dry place to rest.
