clabby 14 Posted April 4, 2009 Report Share Posted April 4, 2009 hi all whats the basics of making a thumb stick i have my chosen branch/stick all cut down and shaved so what do i do with it now do i leave it to dry out for a month or 2 or can i stain it and varnish it now. id like it to last a few years so any help realy would be good i think its off a ash or hazel tree (silver/grey bark) clabby Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Its a walking stick, but instead of holding it as you would do with any other conventional stick, you hold it between your thumb and forefinger, with your thumb cradled within the U.
