welshdog73 0 Posted April 3, 2009 Report Share Posted April 3, 2009 hi iam in the process off training my gwp pup he is 5 months old and everything was going fine un till he met his first pheasant. i was out training him in a field where there is no game or so i thought i was getting him to sit i walked a couple of hundred yards stopped for a couple minutes then called the dog he started come then stopped his nose was on the ground and his tail was going 100 miles an hour he strayed to me right a couple of yards then bang he pounced on a pheasant i ran to him but with bird in mouth he decided to do a couple of laps a got the bird off him and took him home since that day as soon as he finds grass all training goes out of the window and he thinks he is a blood hound nose to ground and off he goes totally ignoring me any advice Quote Link to post Share on other sites
