the cobra 269
have a first cross whippet greyhound dog stands 24 to the shoulder does not like the rain but breed out of a coursing whippet dog and a distance greyhound bitch that raced over 900 yards takes rabbit hare roe no problem with stamina speed or strike a lot of pups are bred from race champions dogs that are winners over 150 to 300 yards but if ur looking for lightning speed over 300 yards thats fine but if ur looking for a coursing dog you have to go for coursing and distance dogs they will never have the stamina of suluki crosses but there alot more better to watch and totally diffrent dogs to that bred out of sprinters Quote Link to post

adrianvygus 0
Ive seen the litter poacher3161 is talking about and they are cracking pups,as for whippet greyhounds 1st x,good catch dogs and sharp but expect plenty of vets bills, saw one go headlong into sheep netting at top speed and it had jumped an identical fence seconds before, wouldnt ever want to see that again, just to fast and intent on killing their quarry at all costs. Yeah Gungho the word, I called my Whippet Bedlington grew off a run because I was afraid he'd hurt himself by hitting the fence instead he ruptured a disc and to save him the pain and my self the agony of not being able to do what he did best had him put down. The sorest part for me was that he was my last link with my first Whippet. Quote Link to post

codder85 0
a good friend of mine has a 5/8 greyhound 3/8 whippet, very good catch dog and kills with ease, just seems to lack in stamina, and is very short on brain cells! Quote Link to post
