mooney1 120
My old lurcher bitch (8+) had been limping on her front right leg for a few days. I gave her Arnica and rested her up for few days. After a week she's worse not better so I took her to the vets. Left her there for an Xray, got a call to come up later to discuss, she's got cancer in her leg. 4 options, Have her leg amputated and that will give her "several months of pain relief", or "take a course of expensive, non guaranteed specialist treatment in Bristol" or "strap her up when you take her out and give her high strength pain kllers daily for when her leg disintegrates (soon)" or "have her put to sleep"The vet said this a bt more sympathetically than I have but you get the jist, I'm GUTTED sorry to hear that pal i had a labrador wi cancer in its teats had her put to sleep iwoz gutted as well she jumped up into truck to go to vets to be put to sleep Quote Link to post
Doglost Co-Ordinator 4
Hate reading these posts as most of us have lost a dog to cancer. I lost my collie just over 3 yr ago, had to have him pts. At least you have the weekend for some 'chill' time. Like the others have said you have all the good time to remember. Quote Link to post
