Guest ferret feller
pure whippet but they have very thin skin and it can be damaged quite easily.... id go for something like a collie/whippet or a beddie/whippet... Quote Link to post
fazza123 516
If your working rats then yes you need your dog jabbed asap Quote Link to post
heart of wales 19
Bedlington x Whippet without a shadow of a doubt And Yes Rats carry all manner of diseases which can be fatal to dogs always jab them as pups well before they come into contact with them and treat any bites that they cant get at themselves. Nobody should be working unvaccinated dogs in this day and age a Whippet would be perfect for what you want, by the way my colliexgrew is eleven this year and still catching rabbits although my eight month old nonped whippet is faster. nasher1 258
Just ask the vet for dog inoculations, surely you should know this already if youve got a 9 year old dog, its a lot easier and cheaper to prevent em than try and cure em Quote Link to post

Leptospiral jaundice is the worse thing that rats carry, get a copy of Brian Plummers book Tales of a Rat hunting man so if you get it you can die laughing the jabs'll prevent yer mutt from following you in to the wide blue yonder Quote Link to post
codder85 0
whippet x beddy, personal pref. speed and sharpness of the whippet and determination and kill of the bedlington. Quote Link to post
Guest reload
Forget a specific breeding, get a dog bred from stuff that have been proven rabbit catchers from generations....... Theres plenty of crap dogs about wether a beddy whippet or a collie X.....go for tested working parents every time. Quote Link to post
