Cheers i breed many of them for hawk food. they are very easy to rear and keep but need quite careful conditions as they are not too hardy and need to be cossetted somewhat as chicks. Tjhere are some good books on the subject. id suggest buying a couple of dozen hatching eggs from "qualis from wales" on ebay....his stock are really good. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Thanks for that, just 1 more question, could they live in an ark in the garden, or do they need better than that. PS looking on amazon for books on quail.Cheers. Nice eggs too! kept mine in an aviary just to keep the floor clean - laid a cut down conifer on its side couple of covered nest bowls under it and left em to it they reared no end ..
