Screw Cut Size ??

Looking at getting a Jet-Z Mod for my Howa .223 not sure on the Thread size .. Can Anyone help ??

some mods are 1/2 28 tpi

if its standard barrel size i would have 1/2. if its heavy barrel a 5/8 or something like a m16x1 would be good

Howas are threaded 1/2 UNF in light barrels, 5/8 in the heavy ones. I've got a light one now and had a heavy one before, both have moderators and came screw cut.

Cut it as big as you can, my Sako Varmint is 18mm as an example.

yes thats a good idea. mine is m18x1 on my mod 70 heavy barrel. the less cut the strong it shall be. trouble is you got to make sure you can get a mod for that size thread. and if you have other rifles a 1/2 inch thread can be a blessing if you use the mod on different rifles
