But my general experience of the Polish nationals is positive.They work hard, are very shrewd and have a good moral standard. But they have their ned and chav equivalents just the same as us... I WISH I HAD A POUND FOR EVERY TIME IVE HEARD THAT , I COULD EMPLOY ALL KINDS OF NATIONALITYS , I EMPLOY ENGLISH IRISH SCOTS AND WELSH , WHY COS MY FOOKIN FAMILY SENT YOUNG MEN ACOSS THE CHANNAL TO RUN UP A BEACH THEN MARCH ACROSS MOST OF EUROUPE TO FREE THE POLES , NOT FOR HIS GREAT GRAND KIDS TO END UP ON DOLE , THERE ARE BRITISH KIDS LOOKING FOR WORK LOOK AND YE WILL FIND OR DO YOU LIKE THE MENTALITY OF THE POLES YES SIR NO SIR , TRAITOR LOOK IT UP Perhaps not all of our countrymen share your morals I speak from genuine experience, not hear say, tittal tattle, jealousy or any other grape vine form of communication. They have te same rights as any other european residents, how many of us went to lay bricks in germany in the 's? Same situation... Look at it from another perspective, they are prepared to leave ther families at home, work hard in a strange country with different morals, traditions and values to provide for their family. If the tides changed..would many British go to Poland to sweep floors for 9 hours a day to provide for their families?? Not wishing to enter a slanging match, just look at their situation without blinkers Matty we went to germany in the eightys to lay bricks because there was no construction work here , dont try to educate me , on the constrution industry , ive sat and watched this countrys constuction industry die , why because the big 10 companys dont wants trademen they want jacks of all trade = poles , happy to doff ther caps hard workers maybe tradesmen NO were getting the jobbers , when they start opening mines up and employ polelish miners , and are shipyards , are full of migrants , and are skilforce is spent it will be down to the likes of you , , me ill pick and choose brits , why cause maybe the next one might have had a grandad who went to foookin war over there , to make it safe for the likes of you Quote Link to post Share on other sites

If you have ever been in the shit with production schedules, when every single local worker downs tools at 4.30, because thats his fininsh time and f*cks off home.leaving you to sort out whats left, you are greatful for any help you get. And I GUARANTEE that it will be the polish lads ad lasses that help you out PERIOD... 3. And as for tradesmen, I employ all trades. Nationality has nothing to do with quality. Pride has to do with quality ..fact 4. My family fought in both wars... 5. Your part of the country may be better.............mine isn't..The Locals dont want the work we have to offer. mbrydenuk 14 Posted March 31, 2009 Report Share Posted March 31, 2009 You say you speak from experience so do i .Ave worked on three diffrent sites with them and have had to fix work done by poles calling them selfs joiners on all three. thay can do any job you ask of them just not well, very few of them have there own homes in scotland most live twenty to a house and send most of there money home .thats just what the economy needs .but the young familys having to take on mortgages thay cant pay will be fine as long as all the border jumpers are being gave councle houses thats fine.thank you for helping to fuxk the country right up mate Quote Link to post Share on other sites
lofti 579 Posted March 31, 2009 Report Share Posted March 31, 2009 i have worked along side Polish people for about 4 years,id say in total about 30 or so, and i can honestly say the vast majority are good honest sound people. also they are very hard workers and somtimes put alot of the English lads to shame. i was building a kitchen extension on my old house and needed a lift i asked the Engish lads first,and not one could be arsed. aske a few of the poles and they were happy to have the offer and were a good help too. cheers lofti. ferret15 0 Posted April 1, 2009 Report Share Posted April 1, 2009 (edited) my grandfather is polish (came here as a boy refuge maybe years old) he walked across from Iraq to Egypt where he as put on a boat to Liverpool he was taken to a refuge camp near reading. where he started working for The large estate almost instantly doing pest control in the nursery trees. he is now 82 and has been a tree surgeon all his life and now although i no longer see him swinging from trees. like he used to he still out there planting and caring for the young trees and protecting them from the pests. i have meet other hard working polish people and polish people who do cut corners i think there is a divide between them. those that have come here to make a better life for them selves learn the Language and stay here for good are in my opinion the hard honest workers. those that are here just for the money then when the works gone they go pack to Poland are the dishonest ones, obviously there are good and bad on both sides and in our own. if someone shows them selves as hard working a trustworthy i couldn't care less where they come from. there are plenty of our own people i wouldn't trust. i also think i read somewhere that now some of our people are going there for work as there is none here and that they are being meet with the same response. i wonder if we had treated them differently would the response been th same I'm glad you sold your caravan to someone who isn't going it rip it to pieces i don't think it relevant that they were polish they were just better people than the previous ones it could of quite easily been people from opposite ends of your street. edit to say -i have experinced both sides of the coin first hand and still belive that the majority are good people.
