Herring is a good bait, it's as good if not better than mackerel IMO, due to it being so oily. bought a 15 foot aliminium boat last year mal had a few hours in the bay(newquay) last week going out tomorrow afternoon... had a pile o doggies and a polack about 2 1/2lb the other night theres been a few bass moving apparently but nothing to hit home over....
