Rhianlouise 0
Hi guys Both ferrets i bought have been doing really well Due to their recent tick and flea problem, after they had both been bathed, all they have been doing since then is one of them is gripping the other on the back of the neck and trying to hump him (both males) and the other one is squeeling. Never had this problem in the first week we had them. Is this due to their scents have dissappeared from when i bathed them and the dominant one is getting his scent back on the other one or not? Really confused!! Quote Link to post
Kay 3,709
If there entire males they will do , it makes no odds to them they will hump anything in the cage with them , seperate them before there necks get a real mess Quote Link to post
Rhianlouise 0
yeah i know that lol, its not constantly like my last lot of ferrets were, its 1-2x per day but the other one wil let him do it to some extent then give him a little nip if he crosses the line sort of thing. Or (they must be gay lol jokin) Quote Link to post
max abell 196
seperate them preferbly till the end of the summer else they will constantly be at it and the dominant hob will make the other hob very very sore they could even end up fighting so split them up is for the best you will be able to put them back together when the mating season is over good luck Quote Link to post
ferretfatcamp 21
yes hobs must be separated unless they are both castrated Quote Link to post
