Ashover rabbit dogs 76
i would only ever use Milbemax on my pack and pups its the only wormer on the market that does a proper job, its easy to use and kills every type of worm.

skycat 6,173
My own vet just told me that there is no great difference between Milbemax and Drontal apart from the fact that Milbemax will do lungworm, BUT only if you follow the correct protocol. A course of Milbemax is needed to kill lung worm, not quite sure over how many days or doses, but one dose alone won't kill lungworm.
dave a 24
i've used panacur for years,i don't use the dog one but use the livestock one instead.i worm all the adult dogs and all pups from 3 weeks old and always found it excellent.if buying the livestock panacur don't buy panacur SC,this can't be used on dogs just buy the standard one,it was recommended to me by a vet years ago.

Ashover rabbit dogs 76
My own vet just told me that there is no great difference between Milbemax and Drontal apart from the fact that Milbemax will do lungworm, BUT only if you follow the correct protocol. A course of Milbemax is needed to kill lung worm, not quite sure over how many days or doses, but one dose alone won't kill lungworm. milbemax covers a broader spectrum of worms than drontal and is the best wormer on the market, iv used panacur and iv known it to make pups sick its the same with the cheap wormers ie johnsons, shirleys etc. drontal is a decent wormer but working dogs need something to do a proper job considering some of the places they go and milbemax covers them all. But its better to worm than not to whatever you use. worm pups should be wormed @ 2, 4, 6, 8,10 & 12wks then every month untill 6months then 2-3 times per year this is especially important with bitches intended to be bred from. heart of wales 19
Very informative as use-all Skycat Whenever I have a litter of pups I always worm them with Dronatal plus Tablets cut up accordingly from Three weeks,I use to find when using panacur many moons ago that the first time you could get the correct dosage into them, second time they would gag a fair bit out, especially strong german shepherd pups, dronatal is a lot easier,I have never had a problem since using it.
Bootsha 1,306
I have used nothing butt Drontal plus in the past, but there is a product on the market which is generic to Drontal Plus, Prazivet plus, Has anyone on here tried it and what are their opinions ??, I must admit that the only feedback that I have read about on this product is positive...as yet... It has the same dosage as Drontal plus as well, 1 tab per 10 kg bodyweight. Apparently there is a 10 year patent on Drontal and or any other similar product, and that time has passed. Would you have any feedback / knowledge on this product Skycat ?
TOPPER 1,809
bootsha if anything prazivet is better than drontal + we have had dogs that were wormed with drontal but still looked wormie so were given prazivet tab and passed loads more worms ive used it for a few years now and can recomend them
