hi, has anyone bought a plummer terrier off wyremeadplummerterriers.com or the plummerterrier-association.co.uk, if so, are they good workers and what are they like ??

i used to ave plummer terrier not of any of these sights but the best rattin dog i ave ever seen

If you get a plummer from the wyremead kennels it may well have been bred by glen welsby,he has produced some nice terriers and has a very indepth history on his dogs,the pta are a organization who are made up of plummer owners who sometimes breed a litter and will have a pup or two for sale.Some are good some not so good,just don't get one from a large kennels in norfolk as look for the stolen lurcher whippet thread by little lurcher.Don't need to help them sort of people and the dogs from there are bred on looks and not work,also you won't hear the truth about any faults thrown by any of the dogs there.I have two plummers and am very happy with them,can do it all with them from ratting to ferreting to earthwork.

Glen doesnt hide the fact that his dogs no longer work fox

the norfolk kennels are mostly wyremead cast off dogs, glens stud dogs that wernt up to scratch look wise

Another PTA run kennels keeps his stock in a old scrap yard, dogs laying in there own shit for days on end.

been there with other members off this site, so just watch were you buy from.

what do you plan to work your terrier on mate??

i know glen hes a genuine man.his dogs are worked but mostly to mink and rat.he knows plummers inside out,you ask him out and he ll be straight with you.hope this helps.

IS JUST AN ASSOCIATION. and there will be people that breed with different priorities. ie some will breed with work as the main priority and some will breed with form as there main priority. its your call but if you want a good worker then go to someone that breeds for work. and works them themselves. good luck.

google working plummer terriers there are some interesting forums. if your keen you will find a good one. but i wouldnt get one without looking in to the breed carefully.
