matty73 4 Posted March 28, 2009 Report Share Posted March 28, 2009 had another nights lamping spoilt by wiring in my striker its down to cheap copper wire which for a lamp costing 70 quid isnt on ,i checked wiring before went out as usual seemed ok ,have to walk 4 miles to land where lamp but worst part was dog was in middle of run when went off which could have led to injury luckily she was ok but to say the air was blue is an understatement mumbled of course as i tried to botch it together Quote Link to post

Have my lamps normally straight to the battery but had an "home made" adapter to accept the cigar fitting on the Striker. Connection failed about as far away from the motor as possible. lofti 579 Posted March 28, 2009 Report Share Posted March 28, 2009 i had probs with mine the same, i got the sparky at work to have a look at it he got rid of the cig lighter bit and the fuze part he crimmped new spade connectors on the cable. and it works fine now. lofti. Quote Link to post
