I have both these dogs you mention, And my collie x is the best working dog(bushing, flushing, marking, catching) i have had and seen. I am afraid to tell you tho that, the saluki x will beat him on long ears all the time, so they do beat them.

 

By the way, have you ever owned a saluki or saluki x?

it all depends how hard you run them you must have a dog fit and healthy and make sure there is no cuts on him other wise so,e can pull up but nine out of ten good ones will run all day

most of the best hare dogs ive seen have been saluki blooded, buts it not down to %. its offen saluki x's to saluki x's. there is also an element of luck and chance when breeding 2 dogs together for the first time. some great dogs dont produce great pups when mated to the wrong bitch. I had a good hare bitch once with no saluki blood but if you breed the same cross again it probally wouldn't fair too well.
