RustyG 0
did u read that thing in airgun mag? it looks prety sick, but i recon its an april fools, cos they r only givin out the barrel inserts for free on the 1st of april. i still might give it a go tho, i got an old supersport that i might convert to .14cal if it is all above board like Quote Link to post
hughesey1552 0
have you just made this up or is someone actually making a gun in .14? I think they would have a really flat trajectory but would over penetrate more so than a .177. Also being only just over 3.5 mil they would probabley be a bit on the light side so wind could toss em everywhere. Hughesey Quote Link to post
Malt 379
Can't see it being any good myself. Not too versed in ballistics, but a pellet that size would have to be moving at some speed to get up to 12 ft/lbs. Don't think you'd get many shots per refill on a PCP version. Unless they make the pellets out of something heavier than lead, like depleted uranium! Quote Link to post
bunnyslayer 0
yes this was in this months air gunner. the .14 calibre is not actually a pellet it is a domed shaped Dart weighing 7.0 graines It also has more stopping power than a .22 And its meant to have a tracjectory so flat you wont need any holdover out to 50 yards. aaronpigeonplucker 32
how tiny is 14.? would it not hit hard enough for hunting? i have only seen 22 pellets so 14 must be microscopic Quote Link to post
hughesey1552 0
a .22 is 5.58mm a .177 is 4.5mm and .14 is 3.55. So not quite microscopic lol Quote Link to post
aaronpigeonplucker 32
its still prettty tiny. Quote Link to post
hughesey1552 0
its still prettty tiny. I know. I agree with what maltenby said, it wuld take a lot of air to get it 12 ft lb. Hughesey Quote Link to post
