open land, well when hes fully developed and strong, and hes use to you and well behaved and he knows what its al about take him to a big open field(THE FENS)and slip him on a kick up see what he dose then just bring him on,but wait till hes about 18 19 months because that breed comes late

Good basic training, feed them well, socialisation, get them out walking every opportunity, just let them get on with it, don't be to dissappointed if they don't catch everthing they see, introduce the lamp gradually. Mine seem to be doing fine with this approach, they are now catching rabbits regularly in day light and on the lamp, no pressure or expectation from me. They are growing well and look strong, seem to have good stamina, plenty of praise seems to do the trick as well.I guess I will not really be able to judge the results until they are at least 18 months old and in the hunting season, good luck with your new pup fella, atb Richard
