garybristol 0
Hi Can anyone help me please, present I have a FAC for my .22 Sako rimfire and a high power air fire which I have just renewed after 5 years. Now I have just got some new land around 250 acres which has a lot of rabbits but also has a Roe deer problem and the land owner would like them controlled as they are causing a lot of tree damage. What is the best way to go about (without costing me a arm and leg) getting the right rifle for the job? I have a mate who has a open ticket and also has DSC 1&2 but I would like to own my own. I would be greatful for any help as to what to do next. Thanks Gary. Quote Link to post

Gimli 0
Apply for your .243 FAC, take some shooting lessons at a decent range with a .243; get your mate with the open licence and DSC 1&2 to agree to be mentor for you and suggest this to the police. I did something similar and got the licence v fast, with the provision that I had to be mentored. In two months, I was proficient enough that my mentor wrote to the police and I know shoot unsupervised on any land where I have permission and which has been cleared for shooting by the police. Good luck Quote Link to post
