trappa 518 Posted March 25, 2009 Report Share Posted March 25, 2009 Thought id share the fact ive just got me an allotment. Its great soil and only a 5 minute walk from my house. I have dug it over this last week and its getting rotivated at the weekend. Really looking forward to getting stuck in. I eat loads of rabbit etc so growing my own veg is a natural progression. Folks have to take their tools with them and take them away or leave em out. I would have had one if there were less restrictions as they are only 2 Min's away. Its all about dug over now, was going to go down and do some more weeding but its raining so im unsure what to do. There is a place to keep chucks so i think i will give that a clear out. Jack, its pennies mate. The official council ones are £11.00 a year, but these ones im on are closer and cheaper! Harry, go on, give it a go! All you need is a spade/fork and some time to start and thats it. Once the donkey work is done im hoping its a case of letting them grow and having a couple of hours a week titivating (emphasis on hoping!!) Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I have had one for a few years and love everything about it. (happyploughman)Saves me loads of money and the taste is so different. Plus I get the job of lamping the bunnies.
