This may sound stupid but i cant get my dog to run on the bloody thing :clapper: , do the people that use running machines tie their dogs on? Ive only tried once admitedley, got if for myself primarily :icon_redface:

 

My dogs get walked for 1.5- 2 hours a day, but if your wanting a good level of stamina then putting the dog on the runner in the evening (if you dont have enough time to run the dog by the car ect)for a good few mins will boost stamina;most dogs 'mooch' and have short bursts of running when out walking. I reckon they can be benificial.

Treadmills are not a replacement to outdoor walking, they are used in conjunction with it, and for recouperation purposes.
would be ok if the had tarmac or concreate on em lol

Both have their advantages as they give mental stimulation too. Great when it's chucking down outside and you really can't face it. Wish I had one now - was wet and windy today :(
