JPTfellterrier 65
supose they are good if people dont have time to build stamina due to work comitments but i prefer to take them on a long run next to the bike as it keeps me fit aswel
Lola 0
Both have their advantages as they give mental stimulation too. Great when it's chucking down outside and you really can't face it. Wish I had one now - was wet and windy today
pencoed hunter 7
How much do they go for?
Hannah4181 260
If used sensibly and as part of an exercise programeme, which includes lots of outside walking/free running. . . .. . . . . then i see no harm what so ever with them.
Lola 0
I've seen some reasonable ones on ebay for around £. Not bad
dangergirl 13
This may sound stupid but i cant get my dog to run on the bloody thing , do the people that use running machines tie their dogs on? Ive only tried once admitedley, got if for myself primarily My dogs get walked for 1.5- 2 hours a day, but if your wanting a good level of stamina then putting the dog on the runner in the evening (if you dont have enough time to run the dog by the car ect)for a good few mins will boost stamina;most dogs 'mooch' and have short bursts of running when out walking. I reckon they can be benificial. DG Edited March 25, 2009 by dangergirl

courtney32 1
normal running machines are no good danger girl running bed needs to be atleast 6ft long. some dogs take to them straight away and some take time and plenty of reasurance
Guest 1 man and hiz dog
Treadmills are not a replacement to outdoor walking, they are used in conjunction with it, and for recouperation purposes.would be ok if the had tarmac or concreate on em lol
