docking tail at 9 months .terrier.

docking tail at 9 months fell terrier

 

is it too let ? anyone any experience doing this at 9 months, pup from a good working line and will be working with me. "this is the way i got her"

checking out the laws of it before i contact any vet at this age. always used a tail ring at a few days old never a problem in the past.

 

i know its madness and pup should of been sorted alot sooner.i've just got her

if you put the ring on it will rot off in a few weeks,i know a bloke who did this with a springer and it worked no problem.dog took no notice ,but this was a once off .

Leave the tail as it is! Docking at nine months can only cause problems.

i agree, we got our brittany spaniel docked at an older age because she split it in heavy cover got infected.but because she was so used to having a tail when it was gone she walks about with her arse to one side looking very awkward still works ok though.
