Squirrels

Right , i only do a bit of shooting ( air rifle ) on my permission and its mainly rabbits , few woodies , the ocasional squirrel , you know . Anyway , just got in and the green keeper has left a message about a `squirrel problem ` ,, anyideas how best to go about em ? I know where the rabbits are on the course , and have had the odd squirrel , but like i say but dont know much about em , so a few pointers would`nt go amiss , cheers lads .

Shooting them isn't too hard but you'll end up with a crick in yer neck.

I'd go for trapping them.Use seesaw traps(easily made) with peanut butter for bait.

Try a dog that trees them.

That looks like good fun Indiana.

Fenn traps or bodygrips in tunnels for me. clear them up in no time.

Also Kania traps are deadly for them, but expensive.

You can snare them if not a pack of terriers and a black widow does the trick

Hiya Moxy , long time no see , he just said hes got `Bloody squirrels that need sorting out `so im not sure . I`ll go down Saturday , its just that i aint much on em , just had the odd one or two and not sure what im gonna find .I never thought they might be in the club house , but they could be ,,could`nt they .Cheers pal
