Lets face it al whether you did the right/wrong thing this neighbour who you did not want to challenge face to face because you didn't want any hassle will know shortly that you were the person who informed the authorites and hopefully he doesn't come chapping on your door looking for trouble.

not always the case, it could of been any one else that lived near by and could hear the dogs barking .

True...not always but alot of the time they do and from some previous posts it looks like it is.

well personly I would of gone around and made my feelings known and I would tell them I was the one reported them so it was in the open that is the only thing I would have done different to you al to give them the chance to sort it with out all the shit but al I can understand you don't want no reprocutions off this and think you have done the right thing bud and take no notice of all the wana be ard men mummy will be putting them to bed soon for the busy day ahead of them at school tommorow. ;)

thanks UM

They already know what I think and that I will be the one who puts an end to it  lot of activity there the last couple of days. Myself I couldn't care less what anyone calls me, I do what I have to do and am more than happy to live with the consequences of my actions.

With regard to a comment on an earlier reply on the outcome and the seven day thing, those dogs have been as good as dead from day one and the village folk who have had to listen to the sound of dogs in distress have all assumed it was our dogs, how convenient for the cruel barsteward. In a funeral that my wife attended the week before last, they could be heard throughout the service and that was over half a mile away.

This fella has known about it for ages and it is only now that he is getting off his arse and staring to panic, as for confronting him, I don't need to, he can't look me in the eye

al , im surprised in you fella :( that puts you in the same league as pri and apw

that OK by me, how would you feel if you had a pup from there, introduced it into your home when it had come from a breeder who couldn't care a feck as long as he took your money. Here's three minutes of what amounted to over five hours of continual barking  and so this would be fine and dandy in your eyes?

I know what you're saying, but if having "cred" in the dog world means leaving dogs suffer well I'm better off out of it. It's the same with the members on here who don't actually hunt, they're looked down on even ignored and some are even afraid to post :icon_eek: , what the feck is all that about

As for me living with being called a grass  , if you knew me you'd know different and the genuine fieldsporters on here would not see a problem, OK some may have gone about it differently, their choice :drink:

Spot on pal, you did the right thing. I couldnt care less if i had the name of a grass because i reported PROPER animal cruelty. My mates in the dog world would have nothing to fear because they wouldnt be my mates if i knew they abused their dogs. If i could stop it without involving plod and other authorities then i would do but if it came down to it your conscience will dictate what you do and frankly i couldnt live with myself knowing some animal is suffering needlessly when i could have done something about it. Those that say they would 'deal' with the tossers themselves, fairplay to you all, but at the top of my priorites would be the wellfare of the animals and if i went in all guns blazing then the likelyhood is i would probably come out worse, lol, and the animals wouldnt be any better. If taking a bit of a hideing would end the whole shitty mess then i would take one, but the reality is that informing the authorities would be the only way to end the suffering to the animals.
