That is some number of rats that is, the place must have been lifting, think of how many there must still be there!

Was this the first time you called at this particular farm or is it like this every year?

That was the first time that I had done that farm, the next time I did it we invited Eddie Chapman down with a few of his friends and we only had about 1000 but it was still a good day.Last winter we had Eddie down and a few lads from Wales and it was a bit of a disappointment we only took somewhere between 1 and 2 hundred.

On that first occassion believe it or not the farm had been baited heavily with poison but they seemed to be thriving.

Last winter was the last time as the farmer has now gone into another line of business and has no chickens anymore.

(Bullet that is not the 4x4 that you are thinking of,I have never heard of him).

Here is a snap of a few dogs at the same farm on another occassion.

The tally was 2000,one of my mates counted well over 1600 on the trailer, then we walked around the sheds there were hundreds of dead rats laying around everywhere,as we didn't bother to pick up the smaller ones.

They were cleared from the freerange laying sheds that are moved on skids once a year, when all the birds are culled.

As me dear departed granny would say "f**k me Riley"

never seen so many rats in one place

Believe it or not this farm was being heavily bated with poison, and it is a really clean place. You would never know that the rats are there in these numbers until the sheds are moved once a year,as the rats all live in the chicken manure under the sheds.

There aren't any there now as the farmer has changed his line of business, and no longer has any chickens.

Oh yes and the dogs were all out of action for a bit you wouldn't believe the stick they took.
