Malt 379
Depends. If it's somewhere where I'd be guaranteed a half decent bag, then why not? On the other hand, if I was going to go there & get one or two rabbits, I wouldn't bother, I can do that a lot closer to home! Either way, I'd try to have a look about there first, might be worth at least one trip to recce the place, It's no good going soley on word of mouth. I've been out to farms this year, supposedly lifting with rabbits, (landowners words!) to find about half dozen living in thick cover! Quote Link to post

stubby 175
why not do a "google earth" to get an idea of land, and maybe find a trustworthy member from here, that lives closer, that you would share the permission with, then ask them to have a look first Quote Link to post

Before the ban I used to drive to Lincs most Saturday mornings in the season ,and I'm in Kent .I drive 65 miles to lamp on my mates permission so thats 130 miles round trip , plus the cost of the Tunnel.I suppose it depends how keen you are. pedro 39
Get up with the lamp when your off, at least you will know what kind of numbers are on it and if its worth the travelling. I know of a wee dog thats bursting for a good run Quote Link to post
StephOC 6
If its anywhere near Stirling I could go for a drive and have a look one lunch time if it helps ~ I have WAY too much ground already so promise not to steal it! Quote Link to post
