Big bald beautiful 1,231
My main lamping permision is an 11 hole golf course and a playing field. I find it takes a sharp dog that can turn on a sixspence to take good numbers. I havnt lamped these spots for several yrs but have started again with my young whippet bitch. the good thing is its pest control and so i can get a run in the summer if the grass has been watered and the ground isnt too hard Quote Link to post

Big bald beautiful 1,231
I cant shoot over them as the playing field backs on to houses. Quote Link to post

fielddweller 1
I used to lamp on a couple of golf courses, however the green keepers didnt allow dogs to be used.Which due to our STUPID disregard meant us losing permission on one of them. ATB Fielddweller Quote Link to post

Guest AngelicAcid
I still run one dog but he is much lighter and knows the terrain, but still never near a bunker though. Quote Link to post

poacherkev 64
I run a small whippet/bedlinton on a golf course the rabbits all have turbos fitted but the biggest problem i have is the place is full of hares and badgers the feckers are all over the place you put the dog on a bunny then half way though the run he switches to the hares Quote Link to post
The one 8,470
I was lamping a golfy but it was hard work for my lurcher as the rabbits on a fairway are like shit off a shovel so i prefer bushing it with her during the day and i was getting better bags out the rough areas then lamping at night with the rimmy . blackpack 70
run my whippet on a golf course good fun but heart in mouth at times due to bunkers etc many dangers but thats lamping for you. Dont like to run big dogs there as the turn not as good as the small dog. Quote Link to post
