If i was going to get a tax rebate would i have heard by now? Me and my work mate earn exactly the same amout each week before tax (earning split down the middle as we're on price work) but yet he takes home a £10 more a week after being taxed (pays less tax) I have 3 kids and he has none? Surely this can't be right? I know it's only a £10 but in this current climate every penny helps! any advice?

I usually wait till xmas to cash it in but im into the 8th month without work. Accountant done it on line this year & i only waited 7 day. My oldest was the same,in getting it sharp too. Only difference is he is still in work. Kay,if you used an accountant then rattle him or phone the tax place.

On another note,i worked with 2 brothers a few yr ago & they were both down as living at their mums (both in their 50's). John & Jimmy. Anyway John cashed the 2 cheques in & spent them. Jimmy complained to the tax office & when it all came out,the tax office asked him if he could not get the money back off his brother. To which Jimmy replied, you fcukin try !! Ive worked with a lot of the family & although hard to believe, its true.
