Fletcher 0
Didnt get big numbers, but thats not what its all about, as a few of you will remeber i came on here 7 or 8 months ago as green as the grass, so me and the dog are just learning the ropes still, but im pleased and so is the mutt with the way things are turning out. She got her first bite lastnight which is why a few more got away than should have done, she doesent normally hang about on dead rats but as i say this one bit her and she didnt like it so it got mauled for a good five minutes, she didnt want to put it down incase she got another nip. But one thing i have learned is always trust your dog, a few times she was marking from where rats had previously bolted and i thought she was just marking old scents but sure as day after a bit of digging another one or two would come out. I had an excellent time, it was a great buzz, me and Thurso did as much running as the dogs, how we didn't break our necks I don't know. Thurso dog was a joy to watch and done well considering how differcult the place was to work. Quote Link to post

thurso jack 3
mick if you can try and yake him out with other terriers so he can just watch whats going on, if you havent that luxuary, like i didnt then it all depends on how your dogs maturing some will at 7-8 months others longer, you dont want to let him get in a scrape as a pup though or you may sicken him. Thats my advice im sure others will add theres. Quote Link to post
