droid 11
why dont you just put a silver against a silver is it true about the kits been deformed?? Because silvers carry a 'lethal' gene (or more likely a gene cluster) it increases the chance of problems. Some numpties think that because you can't say for definite there'll be problems then it's OK to breed them. I find such stupidity rather breathtaking, but there you go: it takes all sorts Quote Link to post
coneycatcher17 3
I had a strong steely blue colored mitted hob who was a bit big for pursenetting sold him on at ballinasloe horse fair at an almost giveaway price to a man who wanted back in on the ferreting. Quote Link to post
Funfuret 1
so how are black eyed whites bred? anybody? thats opening up yet another can of worms, as poorly marked silvers can moult out to an albino coat, thus looking like a black eyed white as you put it, I have two jills here that could easily pass as BEW's, which then starts the disscussion, do BEW's really exist, or are they moulted out silvers Good question In total, I've known 4 light silvers that have faded to BEW with age Myself, I've never understood why people find silvers so desirable when basically they are just prematurely greying animals. It's always struck me as odd that people will pay over the odds for a prematurely greying animal and then spend a fortune covering up their own grey hairs Quote Link to post
stubby 175
why dont you just put a silver against a silver is it true about the kits been deformed?? I had an un planned silver to silver mating in the court last year, from 6 young kitts, 2 were deformed, and one very runty looking kitt, would never advise this pairing, why take the risk, Quote Link to post
