Meriln2008 0
Mine used to do same, but after a bit of perseverence they release. Try having a plastic bag of cubed cheese in pocket,Repeatadly shout 'DEAD' while offering piece of cheese and lifting rabbit upwards from him. If cheese doesn't work try something you know he really likes. >>>>> Quote Link to post
webby 31
get down to the dogs level, hold the catch with him for 30 seconds then squeze a paw enough so he lets go. thats one way used for spaniel training Quote Link to post

On a serious note just tap the dog on the nose or pries the rabbit free with your fingers whilst saying leave or what ever command you choose, it will soon get the message. But don't forget if its he's first catches, loads of praise even when you are trying to get your bunny back. Quote Link to post

I have a Whippet/Greyhound bitch that does this occasionally and I find forcing my finger pushing her gums into her teeth is quick and needs to be done less as the evening goes on. Quote Link to post

Guest reload
SIMPLE, teach the dog a 'leave' command..........easily done some of the replys of pushing the dog gum against in teeth, and feeding cheese or even squeezing his bollock are not good Edited March 20, 2009 by reload Quote Link to post
