Everyone that I have spoken to will not give me a straight answer to, "Are Handcocks dogs any good". You see other dogs on lamping videos and they look great, but there seems to me that there is to many dogs in their make up, Lurcher x lurcher back to half bread collie and an eight whippet allways seems to be in there someware.

Im after a ferreting dog that can work the lamp aswell, Im not after a big dog, say 21 to 22 inches max.

I have 2 bitches at present, a whippet and a greyhound x collie. the Lurcher is getting on and needs retiering, hence my quest for a first rate lamping bitch to replace her.

Everone has different views and ideas, so lets hear them and have a good old debate on it and maybe point me in the right direction.

Many Thanks to everone who replies.

whippet/grey x collie/grey cant go wrong pal, excellent nose for marking up and excellent burst off speed in pursuit of rabbits in the day time, on the lamp are just as good not to big ( mine is 24 tts) so have great turning ability and fast off the mark. This is my opinion but i havent owned every breed of dog so no one knows the best working dog.
