BenBhoy 4,706
i know this can never be an exact science, but knowing the population of uk bunnies is one thing, but any real ideas what part of country has most rabbits? when i moved from wales to east midlands i was surprised by the seemingly less amount of rabbits around, though understandably far more hares. Depends on what part of the east mids your from, theres a good few round here. also around lincs and down towards northampton corby. funny you say wales , got mates in south wales who recon theres nowt down there. areas that have large populations that i know , the yorkshire dales , parts of norfolk/sufolk. perthshire and caithness in scotland , but i have been told recently theres not what there was. there are areas in the borders and northumberland , with good numbers , think theres good numbers in cornwall, and in the south hampshire sussex wiltshire. there evrywhere just get out and look Quote Link to post
leec 132
id say hampshire/wiltshire has a very large population of rabbits Quote Link to post

Hob&Jill 258
I think it changes quite alot in short spaces, around where I live you can be out all day and get 2 or 3 but if you drive a couple of miles either way we get 30+ bags Quote Link to post
shepp 2,285
They love the horse fields in Surrey, but they are well hunted and lamp shy. Quote Link to post
willow1 0
I have been looking myself and there dont seem to be any around chippenham, westby on trym area. Maybe i need to give wiltshire a try as i wouldnt mind some rabbit shooting with the S410 Cheers Quote Link to post
Malt 379
Plenty around where I am, but you've got to know where to look. Problem is in some places they're near impossible to get at for ferreting. Thick, year round cover, and the rabbits choosing to live in it, rather than the buries. Quote Link to post
