You can get all the information you need from Sean Frains excellent book  The Patterdale Terrier

I've just bought a second copy (I didn't want to ruin the first) so I can get them framed and hung over the fire. Seans drawings always remind me of what would happen if you blindfolded and drugged Rolf Harris before letting him loose on a canvas with fresh dog excrement

Personally I couldn't draw the curtains but then I wouldnt fill books with drawings so bad I cringe and have to shut the page :icon_redface::tongue2:

Im not a big fan of his work, but i remember a few yrs ago a young lad buying a book at the Midland as asking him to sign it.As soon as he finished judging the terriers he walked straight over and signed this young lads book.

thought this was a nice thing to do and nodoubt made the boys day

it was my book at the midland he signed and im not a kid but a dwarf and i had to pay him a tenner! ive just read his book on patterdales as a mate lent it to me and thought it wasnt as bad as everyone has been saying but wouldnt like to buy it though... one or two chapters werent to bad going into the history but the rest near the end of the book wernt my cup of tea.i still think he,s wrong though with the amount of bull blood he says breay put into them.

I've got a couple of his books, ratting, rabbiting and the patterdale. I was looking at his book on Gary Middletons lakaleands at the weekend but instead chose to buy Dave Harcombes book, every mans hand. I just feel all his books lack any real depth and the photos are pretty crap, also I pray that one day he opens a page and thinks "who the f**k drew that" and realise it was him :o
