sounder jnr 0 Posted March 18, 2009 Report Share Posted March 18, 2009 hey just wondering if anybody knows anything about laptops. but when i turn mine on a black screen comes on and tells that windows didnt start successfully and tells me to start windows normally or in safe mode or last known configuration and a few others but whichever i try it just goes back to this screen????????????? anybody have any ideas please thanks marie Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Guest jt750 Posted March 19, 2009 Report Share Posted March 19, 2009 (edited) if you have a windows xp cd or can get hold of one put it in then reboot it should say press any key to boot from cd that will install a fresh copy of windows but make sure you have the cd key hope this helps alb If your going to try this make sure you have a cd key for this usually on the underneath of the laptop on a green type sticker ..also you need to change the boot sequence at start up so hit F12 as its starting up and on the screen change the option to boot from CD instead of C: Drive.
