poles for a long net

I am looking to get a long net ready for next season, i found a few nets put i cant find any poles any idea on were to get them how many i need for a 25 meter net and how much would they be. already found a net on here

youl need 6 poles for a 25 yard net one every 5 yards your looking at £2.50 to £3.75 per pole

well thats not as expensive as i thought, so the whole thing will only cost about £40

 

Get yourself some hazel ones for free. If you do a search on here for hazel poles there's a whole heap of tips, advice, identification etc. Some good stuff. Try it. Cheers, D.

just got my first longnett yesterday , handmade by runningwhippet and already supplied with hazel poles, i think Holly would make good poles as well, easy to get a hold of, very straight and strong.

 

 

lots of difrent wood can be used for pegs (poles), as a young chap privet was always a faveroute.

and blackthorn. but to be honest hazel is hard to beat, its usualy the streightest, and most abundent, and takes little work , for it to be ready :thumbs:

Try some yellow, Sheep flexi net poles using them myself with no problems, Just need a bit of a make over to tone down the color.

:laugh: See if we can bounce them back into thier burrows eh?

 

Didnt the Romans try to catapult thier enemies back over the lines at one point, i think they gave up too!
