What scope?

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,..

I have a Ruger 10/22 and i have used the cheaper red dot sights on it, one was great, then i dropped it and it broke, and i havent had much use with other ones ive tried...

Im after a scope that can take alot of stick, as the rifle will be a truck gun, that is driven around on all terrian, getting knocked about a fair bit etc...would prefer some mag on it, 3-9 or 4-12 or summat like that...it would be used alot at night as well, so a illuminated reticle would be great, but not essential...any idea on good mounts as well?...summat real strong to help hold zero?...

Also, with the 10/22, you have to screw/bolt the dovetail rail to the top of the gun...is there anyway possible you can maybe get it welded on?...so its on it permanent?...anyone ever done this?...

At the moment i have been using Federal solids through it, and also Remington Subsonics...we cant have silencers here though, which is shit!

Any help would be good...im customizing mine into a truck gun,..i wanna get the skeloton folding stock, and the heavy 16 1/2" barrel, and a nice scope on it...should help me take some game when out and about...many thanks guys.

Yes I think so.

You don't want to be welding or glueing the scope base in there - the screws work just fine.

Any old Weaver mounts should work, so long as the 10/22 has the weaver & dovetail rail.

Scope itself, Bushnell Trophy would be OK I guess.
