No picking up rabbits

My whippet is now 1 year old and has had rabbits bolted to her and she keeps up with them fine ferreting and on the lamp but she will not pick they up just nibble the back of them, how can i train her to pick them up, and why wont she pick them up?

shel click mate i wouldnt worry, but if youve got an older dog or a mates got an older dog take her out on the lamp and keep her ont he lead for the night but she should come along.

that should do it if nothing else will or maybe a double slip just to help her on a bit more

i use to have a wippet greyhound and she would get at the back of the rabbits but not pick them up but [bANNED TEXT] we went up north yorkshire she ran some rabbits with the same breed of dog and she would get them a bit of competion the dog needs i think

tie a dead rabbit to a bit o' rope and twitch it in front of the pup, really wind her up. . . . . you know what I mean.

try her on rats mate she will soon learn to pick up and shake.
